Victoria, British Columbia – Today, the winners of BC’s Top Employers award were announced in a special feature published in the Vancouver Sun. BCI is extremely proud to be included on the prestigious list.

“BCI continues to be recognized for our dedication to creating a great work environment,” says Norine Hale, executive vice president, human resources.

“BCI’s strong corporate culture empowers our people to be the best at what they do. BCI continues to work to achieve our world class goals – cultivating a workplace that attracts top talent and achieves sustainable success for our clients.”

In its fifteenth year, the BC’s Top Employers award is part of Mediacorp Inc’s Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. Mediacorp is the nation’s largest publisher of employment periodicals, reaching over 15 million Canadians each year.

Earlier this month, BCI was also recognized as one of Canada’s Top Family-Friendly employers. The editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers evaluate each employer in terms of the programs and initiatives they have to help employees balance work and family commitments.

“The fact that BCI was also recognized as one of Canada’s Top Family-Friendly Employers signals the commitment that BCI has to support our employees with their dedication to both the corporation and their families,” says Hale.

The investment industry is knowledge intensive and, at its core, it relies on people. The ability to attract and retain skilled individuals with specialized knowledge will continue to differentiate or limit organizations. Being named one of BC’s Top Employers and one of Canada’s Top Family-Friendly Employers is recognition of BCI’s ongoing effort to be a progressive workplace of choice that continues to attract, retain, and promote talented professionals.

Applicants for BC’s Top Employers list are evaluated using eight criteria[1] and are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking HR programs and initiatives.
