Timothy Howard joined BCI in 2017. He focuses on the technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) sector, covering a range of technology verticals, including software, digital infrastructure and fiber networks, data and information services, and the evolving cybersecurity landscape. He has also made other principal investments during his time with BCI private equity. With $250.4 billion in gross assets under management as of March 31, 2024, BCI is one of the largest institutional investors in Canada.

Before joining BCI, Tim accumulated nine years of European private equity experience. Tim was an Associate Director at Inflexion Private Equity, located in London, U.K., focusing on mid-market control buyouts and made significant contributions to the successful launch and deployment of Infracapital Partners’, which focused on digital infrastructure, transportation, and renewables. Previously, Tim was a Manager at Ernst and Young LLP, focused on assurance, transaction support and financial due-diligence services in digital infrastructure, infrastructure, and private corporations.

Tim is a Chartered Accountant with a masters of science in computing and human communication from Bath University and a bachelor of science in accounting and management.

Tim currently observes on the boards of Ziply Fiber, a USA-based telecommunications provider; Veracode, a leading global provider of comprehensive application security solutions; and Adams Outdoor Advertising, the fourth largest out-of-home advertising company in the United States.
