British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (“BCI”, “we” or “us”) is committed to maintaining trust with the users of our Website. BCI uses this Website to provide you with general information about BCI. Any information provided to you through the Website is referred to in these Terms of Use, as may be amended from time to time, (these “Terms of Use”) as the “Content”.

For the purposes of these Terms of Use, the term “Website” means www.bci.ca and all its related webpages and websites (including without limitation any mobile optimized website), but does not include any third-party websites which are linked to or may link from this website, whether or not such third-party websites are used in association with the Content.

Access to and use of the Website is subject to your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms of Use. By using the Website, you agree to be bound by and acknowledge your acceptance of these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy, then do not use the Website or any of its Content.

Ownership of Website

All right, title and interest in the Website and the Content, including, without limitation, all information, site design, text, graphics, video clips, audio clips and images, are owned by BCI, our affiliates and other third parties under license to us, and are protected from unauthorized copying and dissemination by copyright law, trademark law, international conventions and other intellectual property laws. Unless otherwise specified, the Website is for your personal and non-commercial use. You acknowledge and agree that you are authorized to view, print and use the Website and the Content, as applicable, only for your own personal and non-commercial use and otherwise only in accordance with these Terms of Use. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, transfer, or sell any information, Content or services obtained from the Website without the express written consent of BCI, which consent shall be at BCI’s sole discretion.

Client Use of the Website

While the Website is intended for personal and non-commercial use only, we anticipate that our clients may access the Website to obtain general information about us.  However, clients are encouraged to contact us directly to obtain information about us, about their investment profile and any other inquiry relating to their investments with us to ensure the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the information as we cannot make representations, warranties or guarantees that the Website or the Content is complete and accurate.

Modification of these Terms of Use; Waiver

BCI reserves the right to alter, add to, delete, modify, change or amend these Terms of Use at any time by posting the amended Terms of Use on the Website. All amended terms shall be effective immediately upon being posted even without express or specific notice to you of those changes. Your continued use of the Website after such modification of the Terms of Use will constitute your: (i) acknowledgement of the modified Terms of Use; and (ii) agreement to abide and be bound by those Terms of Use as modified. The applicable version of these Terms of Use at the time of your use of the Website will govern your use of the Website. You are encouraged to review these Terms of Use from time to time to ensure your continued agreement. Any deviations from these Terms of Use or waiver of our rights hereunder shall not be valid or effective except in a written agreement bearing the physical signature of one of our senior officers. Restrictions on Use of the Website

Career Opportunities Site

The career opportunities site is intended to present you with information concerning current employment listings with BCI. The career opportunities site is operated by BCI’s service provider, Workday Limited (“Workday”). Workday collects your information, including Personal Information (as defined in the Privacy Policy), on BCI’s behalf, and both Workday and BCI have access to such information.

You hereby acknowledge and agree that: (i) your application for an employment listing via the career opportunities site does not create an employer-employee relationship with BCI; (ii) your application for an employment listing via the career opportunities site does not constitute an offer of any kind; (iii) BCI is not obligated to contact you in connection with your application for any employment listing and (iv) BCI shall not be liable for any employment decisions that you make as a result of your reliance on any information posted on the career opportunities site.

Any employment agency, person or entity that submits a resume through the career opportunities site on behalf of an applicant does so with the understanding that (i) any documents and information submitted including the resume will become the property of BCI and (ii) BCI will have the right to hire that applicant at its discretion and without any fee owed to the employment agency, person or entity unless an agreement, including a fee arrangement, has been signed with such agency with respect thereto.
