Alex Reid joined BCI in 2019. He focuses on the private equity department’s fund activity including primary fund commitments and secondary sales, as well as select co-investments. The funds team manages over 50 fund manager relationships, spanning buyout, growth equity, special situations, and other strategies. With $250.4 billion in gross assets under management as of March 31, 2024, BCI is one of the largest institutional investors in Canada.

Prior to joining BCI, Alex held the position of Associate Analyst, Equity Research at National Bank Financial in Calgary, Alberta. Prior to this, Alex practiced as an engineer at Bellatrix Exploration and Golder Associates.

Alex graduated with a bachelor of engineering science in civil engineering from Western University and obtained his CFA® in 2019.
