London, U.K. – British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) today announced it will relocate its London office to 20 Carlton House Terrace on September 21, 2026, marking a key milestone in the institutional asset manager’s global growth and long-term commitment to the European market.
The move brings together staff from BCI’s Infrastructure & Renewable Resources (I&RR), Private Equity, and Capital Markets & Credit Investments (CM&CI) programs in a modern, purpose-built office to support each team’s work and an expanding network of European partners.
BCI established its first London hub in 2023 through its I&RR program, which now manages $36.5 billion in assets globally. Since the London office opened, the I&RR team there has invested $3 billion in direct deals. CM&CI’s Principal Credit Fund has also expanded its European exposure to 28.5% of net assets. The new office builds on this foundation, strengthening BCI’s access to European deal flow and on-the-ground asset management.
“A few years ago, we opened our doors in London with a small team from the Infrastructure & Renewable Resources program, led locally by Lea Dubourg-Hrachovec. Today, all asset classes have teams that call our London office home, reflecting BCI’s continued focus on Europe,” said Lincoln Webb, Executive Vice President & Global Head, I&RR. “Our London presence brings us closer to investment opportunities, our partners, and the markets that generate long-term value for our clients.”
BCI’s global offices provide the capabilities to compete for the best deals and deliver stronger investment outcomes for clients. In fiscal 2026, BCI deployed $4.7 billion in new commitments from its I&RR program, committed $6.7 billion in new investments from its Private Equity program, and expanded its Private Debt program into Europe and Asia-Pacific. Over a 25-year period, BCI has delivered $18.4 billion in cumulative value add and an investment return of 7.4%, compared to the 6.7% benchmark, for its public sector and pension fund clients. BCI’s presence in one of the world’s most important financial centres is central to the total portfolio’s continued success.
