
Benjamin Kaplan

Location: New YorkBenjamin Kaplan joined BCI in 2022. He focuses on the financial services sector covering numerous verticals including insurance services, asset and wealth management, financial technology, specialty finance, and payment solutions. With $250.4 billion in gross assets under management as of March 31, 2024, BCI is one of the largest institutional investors in Canada.
Prior to BCI, Ben was the Managing Partner of C9 Partners LLC, a private investment firm he founded in 2018. While at C9, Ben served as the Chairman of PROVE Partners, Managing Partner of Echelon Asset Holdings, and a board member of Case Works LLC. Previously, Ben was a Vice President with Lovell Minnick Partners, a private equity firm focused on the financial services sector. He was also an Associate at Century Equity Partners and an Analyst at Raymond James Capital Markets, where he focused on financial services and technology transactions.
Ben earned his MBA and JD degrees from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and Pritzker School of Law, respectively. Ben also received his bachelor of science in economics and finance, magna cum laude, from Boston College. He is presently a member of the Law Board of the Pritzker School of Law having previously served as the Co-Chair of the Law Alumni Association of Southern California from 2016 to 2022.
