Dean Qu
Senior Principal
Location: New YorkDean Qu rejoined BCI in our New York office in 2022. He focuses on the business services sector, including human capital management, professional services, governance, risk and compliance, and information services. With $250.4 billion in gross assets under management as of March 31, 2024, BCI is one of the largest institutional investors in Canada.
Dean has over a decade of experience across private equity, investment banking and advisory, having worked in London, New York and Canada. Prior to rejoining BCI, Dean worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse, private equity at GTO Partners, private equity at BCI (pre-MBA), and began his career in mergers & acquisitions (M&A) advisory at PwC Corporate Finance and KPMG.
Dean graduated from London Business School and the British Columbia Institute of Technology and is a Chartered Accountant.
Dean is currently a Board Observer at Authority Brands and Hayfin Capital Management. He also has been involved in BCI’s investments in BMS Group, Verifone Systems Inc., BHC Chicken, and Ipan.
