Private Equity Team

Derrick Estes joined BCI in 2024 as Senior Managing Director and leads BCI Private Equity’s global financial and business services team from London. In addition, he provides oversight of the investment team in London. With $295 billion of managed assets as of March 31, 2025, BCI is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors within the global capital markets.

Derrick brings over twenty years’ experience in global private equity, finance and capital markets. Most recently, Derrick was a partner and member of the investment and operating committees at Corsair Capital where he spent nearly 17 years, working closely with BCI team over that time. Prior to Corsair, Derrick was a member of the Financial Institutions Group at Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York. He serves on the boards of BMS, Zedra, Broadstreet and Compre.

Derrick holds a B.A. from Williams College.
