Jennifer Coulson joined BCI in 2012. She leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for the integration and active management of environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities across asset classes. With $295 billion of managed assets as of March 31, 2025, BCI is one of the largest institutional investors in Canada.

Jennifer brings more than 25 years of financial services and responsible investing experience, beginning her career with a national mutual fund firm specializing in sustainability solutions. During her time with BCI, Jennifer built an internationally recognized ESG program – demonstrating measurable value for clients and positioning the organization as a leader in global stewardship.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Environment & Resource Management from the University of Western Ontario and received her Master’s in Environmental Studies from York University. She has attained the Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.D) and chairs ICD’s Vancouver Island Chapter.

Jennifer serves as the chair of the 30% Club Canada Investor Group, which promotes diversity across corporate Canada. She also volunteers her time on boards and committees for a variety of organizations, including the University of Victoria Applied Portfolio Management Program, St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation, and Science World.
