Jon Perry joined BCI in 2016. He is focused on the renewable power, power generation, and utility sectors across North America, South America, and Europe. With $250.4 billion of gross managed assets as of March 31, 2024, BCI is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors within the global capital markets.

Prior to joining BCI, Jon worked for five years at a major Canadian independent power producer focusing on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), business development, and asset management of renewable power generation assets across Canada and the U.S. He has 10 years of investment management experience and more than 20 years utility and energy sector experience focused largely on M&A and business development as well as tax, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Jon obtained his BMLSc from University of British Columbia. He is also a chartered accountant (CA), CFA charterholder, and ICD.D designation holder.

His portfolio company board positions include Cleco, Transelec, and Reden Solar.
