Location: VictoriaMel joined BCI in 2022 with over 18 years of experience in infrastructure and climate change consulting. With $250.4 billion of gross managed assets as of March 31, 2024, BCI is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors.
Prior to joining BCI, Mel was Vice President, Climate Change, Resilience & Sustainability at WSP Canada, leading the national sustainability and climate advisory practice providing services across a range of sectors, including financial services, infrastructure, industry, real estate, and government. Prior to WSP, Mel was a Principal at SSG, leading the delivery of several decarbonization and climate resilience plans for cities in Canada, including Toronto and Halifax.
Mel holds a bachelor of engineering, a master of planning, and PEng (Professional Engineer) and PMP (Project Management Professional) designations.
