Samir Dhrolia joined BCI in December 2016. He is currently the Senior Managing Director and Head of Derivatives, Indexing, and Global Trading, and oversees $40 billion dollars in passive investments. With $250.4 billion of gross managed assets as of March 31, 2024, BCI is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors within the global capital markets.

Prior to joining BCI, Samir previously held Head of Derivatives positions at HSBC, Goldman Sachs, and Merrill Lynch. A Toronto-born native, he returned to Canada after spending over 15 years internationally in New York, London, and Asia.

Samir graduated from the University of Waterloo and holds certifications in business and law from Harvard University.
