Adam Goehner

Adam Goehner is responsible for overseeing BCI’s total portfolio ESG risk exposure and leads efforts to identify climate-related investment opportunities. He has established an industry-leading risk and opportunity identification framework and supports investment strategy, due diligence, and value creation activities in both public and private markets. Additionally, Adam provides strategic counsel to various stakeholders including pension trustees, portfolio managers, and members of BCI’s senior leadership. With $250.4 billion of gross managed assets as of March 31, 2024, BCI is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors within the global capital markets.

Adam has over 15 years of experience in climate and sustainability working with many of Canada’s largest companies, small startups, and federal and provincial governments. His background includes advising public and private venture investments in climate tech, developing corporate sustainability and climate change strategies, and supporting climate technology development accelerators.

Adam holds a degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of British Columbia.
