Insights
Back to InsightsBCI achieved a score of 100% for the third consecutive year on Global SWF’s Governance, Sustainability and Resilience (GSR) Scoreboard, demonstrating our industry-leading practices in service to our 33 public sector pension and institutional clients.
“In a year marked by volatility and geopolitical risk, BCI’s commitment to strong governance and responsible investing remained at the forefront of how we deliver lasting value for our clients,” said Gordon J. Fyfe, Chief Executive Officer & Chief Investment Officer at BCI. “Achieving a top GSR score for the third consecutive year reflects the strength of our approach and the discipline of our people, and we’re proud to be recognized among those setting the bar for best practice.”
BCI is one of only nine institutional investors worldwide – and just three in North America – that earned a perfect score in 2026, assessed across 25 criteria related to governance, sustainability, and resilience. This year’s GSR scoring framework was updated to incorporate AI investment and adoption. BCI was among the first institutional investors in Canada to pursue an AI-first strategy, and our risk-based AI Governance Directive ensures AI is adopted responsibly and securely, with over 90% of staff now using AI tools weekly.
