
Susan Golyak
Director, ESG
Location: VictoriaSusan joined BCI in 2016 and is responsible for overseeing ESG analysis and integration for portfolio companies and leads ESG engagement with corporate issuers, regulators, and external managers. In her role, Susan also develops public policy submissions and provides education to clients on ESG-related matters which are essential to BCI’s investment beliefs. With $250.4 billion of gross managed assets as of March 31, 2024, BCI is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors within the global capital markets.
Prior to joining BCI, Susan held the role of responsible investment analyst at OPTrust, a prominent Canadian institutional investor, where she was involved in portfolio integration of responsible investment principles.
Susan holds an MBA from the University of Fredericton’s Sandermoen School of Business focused on social enterprise leadership and currently serves as a board member of the Pension Investment Association of Canada, and previously chaired their Investor Stewardship Committee.
