
Evan Greenfield
Managing Director, ESG
Location: New YorkEvan G. Greenfield is Managing Director and Head of ESG for the Private Equity arm of BCI. He brings extensive experience as both an investor and operator within the ESG and climate sectors. At BCI, Evan leads the integration of ESG factors across the private equity portfolio, aiming to minimize risk, enhance returns, and create tangible financial value. His leadership has contributed to meaningful improvements in the performance and resilience of portfolio companies through ESG-driven strategies. With $295 billion of managed assets as of March 31, 2025, BCI is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors within the global capital markets.
Prior to joining BCI, Evan was Senior Managing Director and Global Head of ESG at S&P Global, where he oversaw ESG strategy, M&A, and operations. He was instrumental in positioning S&P Global as a leading provider of ESG and climate solutions for corporations and capital markets, driving a 40% compound annual growth rate in ESG-related revenue.
Earlier in his career, Evan helped build and lead the ESG and Impact Investing platform for Deutsche Bank’s Asset and Wealth Management division in the Americas. There, he spearheaded ESG integration across investment products and expanded the firm’s suite of ESG and Impact Investing offerings. Before Deutsche Bank, Evan spent more than a decade as a private equity investor across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Evan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Duke University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
