Location: VictoriaMel is currently Director, ESG at BCI where she focuses on ESG strategy and integration within BCI’s Infrastructure & Renewable Resources (I&RR) portfolio, including in due diligence, asset management, engagement with portfolio companies, and portfolio monitoring. Mel is also part of BCI’s I&RR Investment Committee. With $295 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2025, BCI is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors.
Prior to joining BCI, Mel was Vice President, Climate Change, Resilience & Sustainability at WSP Canada, leading a national sustainability and climate advisory practice providing services across a range of sectors, including financial services, infrastructure, industry, real estate, and government.
Prior to WSP, Mel was a Principal at SSG, leading the delivery of several decarbonization and climate resilience plans for cities in Canada, including Toronto and Halifax.
Mel holds a Bachelor of Engineering, a Master of Planning, and PEng (Professional Engineer) and PMP (Project Management Professional) designations.
