Joining BCI in April 2023, Reed has been a member of the Healthcare sector team, focusing on multiple subsectors including healthcare information technology, pharma & biotech, pharma services and outsourcing, provider services, and medical devices. With $295 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2025, BCI is one of the largest institutional investors in Canada.

Prior to joining BCI, Reed worked for more than 10 years in investment banking. Most recently Reed was a Director focused on Equity Capital Markets (“ECM”) with Barclays Capital where he advised public and private companies on financing initiatives and helped raised more than $10 billion in initial public offerings and follow-on transactions for clients across sectors and geographies. As part of his role in ECM, Reed specialized in cross-border capabilities and executed diverse mandates including dual-listing, spin-out and private placement transactions. Prior to this, Reed worked with Barclays as well as with a Canadian domestic bank in the energy sector, advising upstream and midstream energy companies in all areas of corporate finance, including broad strategic advisory, mergers & acquisitions, equity financing and debt financing.

Reed graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree and Master of Business Administration degree from McMaster University.
