Samir Dhrolia
Senior Managing Director, Derivatives, Trading & Indexing
Location: VictoriaSamir joined BCI in December of 2016 located in our Victoria offices. With $295 billion of managed assets as of March 31, 2025, BCI is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors within the global capital markets.
Samir is a Senior Managing Director and responsible for BCIs Global Derivatives, Trading and Indexing (DTI) comprising of over 35 billion dollars in passive investments. In addition, he is responsible for BCI’s securities financing program.
Prior to BCI, Samir previously held Head of Derivative trading positions at HSBC, Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. A Toronto born native, he returned to Canada after spending over 15 years internationally in New York, London and Asia.
Samir graduated from the University of Waterloo and holds certifications in Business and Contract Law from Harvard University.
Currently Samir is on long-term assignment in BCIs London offices extending our DTI and securities financing coverage into the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia.
