Wendy Strugnell

Wendy Strugnell is a senior leader with more than 20 years of experience in human resources in both the public and private sectors.
She is currently WorkSafeBC’s Head of People and Culture & Chief Human Resources Officer, where she leads a team of HR professionals who support employees through the employment life cycle from talent acquisition to retirement. Wendy strives to create a workplace where people want to come and do their best every day.
Before joining WorkSafeBC, Wendy was Vice-President, People and Organizational Development, for the Fraser Health Authority, where she led a team of more than 350 staff and was responsible for delivering human resources strategies, programs, and services that aligned with the organization’s goals.
Wendy holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University and a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of British Columbia, specializing in labour relations.
Wendy is a member of the Human Resources and Governance Committee. She was first appointed as a Director effective June 23, 2025. Her current term is scheduled to end on December 31, 2028.
