Dave Hong joined BCI in 2016. He leads the global business services team as Senior Managing Director, manages several strategic private equity fund relationships, and provides oversight of the venture & growth capital strategy. With $250.4 billion in gross assets under management as of March 31, 2024, BCI is one of the largest institutional investors in Canada.

Prior to joining BCI, Dave served as an executive with Scotiabank, where he held positions in finance, risk management, investment management, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and strategy. Prior to Scotiabank, Dave worked with Grant Thornton Chartered Accountants and specialized in taxation, audit, and advisory services.

Dave holds a bachelor of commerce with honours from Memorial University of Newfoundland and is a CPA, CA, CMA.

Dave currently serves as a Board Director for Adams Outdoor Advertising, the fourth largest out-of-home advertising company in the United States; BMS Group, a large independently owned specialty insurance broker and reinsurer; Authority Brands, a residential home services platform in North America; and is a Board Observer and audit & risk committee member for Hayfin Capital Management, a leading European private debt lender.
